Jonquil has unique skills as a project manager and team leader and is also a representational sculptor who specializes in the fabrication of trees and naturalistic habitats. Jonquil is a painter. As the owner of, JQ Design (established in 1998) Jonquil, collaborates with other sculptors and provides exhibit consulting services as well as exhibit fabrication.

1988 to 1989
Jonquil was Project Manager for The High Desert Museum in Bend, Oregon. She managed the exhibit construction for the Earle A. Chiles Center on the Spirit of the West. This 5.5 million-dollar expansion included 15,000 square feet of exhibit space.
1982 to 1988
As an Exhibit Specialist for the Larson Company, Jonquil traveled to New York City to work on Jungle World at the Bronx Zoo. For three-and-one-half years Jonquil hired, trained and managed artists and technicians
building a forest of life-size tropical trees. While in New York she developed techniques and procedures for sculpting trees and vines out of resin, epoxy and rubber.

Jonquil was Assistant Art Director and Production Manager for Promotion Products, Inc. in Portland, Oregon and managed a department of seven artists and technicians. The company produced graphics for governmental agencies and private industry.
