After we built "Sirshasana" for Grand Central Terminal, Donald Lipski decided to take a risk and develop a new body of work. In 1999, Donald asked me to build some sample sculptures based on an idea he had. The sculptures would be tree forms growing into improbable shapes, some around found objects and artifacts, others into geometric shapes. From the samples we developed this body of work known as "Exquisite Copse". In 2000 and 2001, I also contributed pieces to his "New Works" series.
