| Two
years of work and a number of groups and
individuals helped make this spectacular sculpture come to life.
Here we are sitting on the roots of
"Sirshasana" during the early morning installation in May 1999. |

The larger, more intricate and more inspired
the work becomes, more artists and artisans are needed to accomplish them.
This is a premise I have seen come true throughout my
career: we are no greater than the sum of our parts and teamwork can be
very satisfying. Collaboration is a kind of
teamwork. For the production of "Sirshasana" I collaborated with
the well known New York artist, Donald Lipski. His sculpture hangs in Grand Central
Terminal Market in New York City. The aluminum and fiberglass tree is 14' tall by 20' wide, is suspended from the ceiling and is hung with 5000
Svarwoski crystal pendants.

I collaborated with Scott MacGregor and his
firm Stage Right to produce this "Kowshark", which will be
auctioned at a charity for the Children's Fund in Portland, Oregon.
